Severe storms hit the state of Texas from April 26th thru June 5th, 2024, bringing continuous driving rains and flooding to the state. On May 17th, 2024, President Biden declared a major disaster.
People in the following counties are eligible to receive federal disaster assistance:

2 Collin, Cooke, Denton, and Montague counties were added May 27, 2024.
3 Bell, Henderson, and Tyler counties were added on May 29, 2024.
4 Austin, Dallas, Hockley, Kaufman, and Newton counties were added on June 4, 2024.
5 Coryell, Falls, Leon, Smith, and Van Zandt counties were added on June 6, 2024.
6 Ellis, Navarro, and Terrell counties were added on June 8, 2024
7 Anderson, Nacogdoches, Panola, Rusk, and Sabine counties were added on July 8, 2024.
